We all have personality traits which shape the way we learn to drive and how we react under the pressure of taking your practical test. So what type of Learner are you?

A lot of driving schools out there highlight student pass rates. At Look and Learn, we don't make this a headline. Why? The answer is simple. Every learner is different! Heres a generic breakdown of typical learner groups and the chances are- you fall into one or a few of them!

1. The Slow Learner

Are you the type who takes their time to digest the ways of the road? Do you often feel reluctant to answer when people ask "how many lessons have you done so far?" Well guess what? Rome wasn't built in a day. Contrary to popular belief, we don't all need just a handful of lessons. So take your time, don't give up, don't listen to others... it will all fall in place.

2. The "Fear of Driving" type

Are you the type that sweats when driving 25mph? Do you have a fear of stepping up a gear or two, where the idea of motorways or even country roads gives you the shakes? Fear not! Getting behind the wheel for the first time can be scary and the fact that you approach it with caution is not necessarily a bad thing. It just means that your learning process will entail building confidence on the road so you can put that caution to good use and drive safely!

3. The "I can't do this" type

Do you find the learning process frustrating when things go wrong? Do you feel like giving up after a mistake or two and instantly consider buying that annual travel card? If learning to drive was a piece of cake we'd all be behind the wheel after a lesson or two. The fact is, it isn't. So turn your frustration into determination and watch your skills grow!

4. The Rule Breaker

And then there's the confident type. Are you the one that's not afraid to step on it, and do things in ways which "tickle" your adrenaline levels? Confidence is great, but believe it or not, so are the rules. In order to pass the test and stay safe on the road, you'll need to learn to follow them with confidence.

5. The Speedy Learner

There is a group of people out there who grasp the concept of driving faster than others move out from first gear. If that's you, the speedy learner, you belong in a rare group as most of us fall in to one or two of the groups above during the learning process!
